Nigeria Coronavirus: Nigeria Bans travelers from 13 countries

Nigeria has finally decided to join the bandwagon (some might say, a little too late) and restrict entry into the country for travelers from 13 countries (China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, the United States, Norway, UK, Netherlands and Switzerland).

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Travelers from these countries may not be allowed entry into Nigeria. The countries mentioned are those with more than 1,000 cases of Coronavirus.

WHEN WILL THE RESTRICTION TAKE PLACE?

The restriction will take effect starting on March 20 and will be in place until further notice.

WILL AIRLINES STILL BE ALLOWED TO LAND IN NIGERIA?

A few of my followers mentioned that they are stuck in Switzerland as their flight to Lagos have now been cancelled. Rwandair will temporarily stop all flights for 30 days starting from the 21st of March to 20th of April 2020. Cape Verde Airlines suspended all travel for 30 days from the 18th of March.

“THE BEST AIRLINE IN NIGERIA” – NIGERIANS SPEAK

After asking my instagram followers which Nigerian airline THEY WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND, I thought best to ask them which airline they would indeed recommend. Below is what a number of them had to say:

This is by far not a great sample to draw a conclusion from but the varying response shows that there isn’t a clear winner. But it is interesting that Azman Air (which features here) does not feature in the feedback for the worst airlines in Nigeria.

Perhaps Azman Air is rising as a favorite in NIGERIA?

What are your thoughts on their feedback? Is there any particular response you would agree with? If so, leave and comment and tell us why.

“THE WORST AIRLINE IN NIGERIA” – NIGERIANS SPEAK

“The worst airline in Nigeria”. This post is not intended to bash any airline but to give a platform for Nigerians (and travelers in Nigeria) to share their negative experiences they have had to face in Nigeria. I also gave them the platform to share their best airline in Nigeria.

I posed a question on my instagram stories (Follow me on instagram here): “NAME one airline in Nigeria you would never recommend or fly again” and this is what the Nigerian public had to say:

Some people decided to slide into my DMs to share stories of their own personal experience and of those close to them in. See below:

Given the wide spread response on different airlines, it could be said that the Nigerian aviation industry isn’t doing much to protect the Nigerian customer. One lady lamented on twitter over how she has been waiting 5 months for a flight refund as below:

So lets talk, what has been your worst experience on a Nigerian Airline? and if there is an airline you wouldn’t recommend to your family and friends, WHO and WHY?

NIGERIAN VISA ON ARRIVAL – HOW TO GET A NIGERIAN VISA

NIGERIAN VISA ON ARRIVAL – I receive many messages from people asking on Instagram and on YouTube on how to get a Nigerian visa. Many are asking because they do not have a Nigerian consulate in their vicinity.

Many people don’t know they can actually apply for a visa on arrival just by submitting a simple email (whether or not you have consulate in your vicinity or not). My friends used this process to get their visa to Nigeria when they were coming for my wedding so I trust the process 🙂
