Funke Ogunkoya-Futi is a Nigerian-British Media & Travel professional based between Lagos, Nigeria and London, United Kingdom. She worked in finance for six years in the UK and New York at a leading US investment bank before assuming a leadership role in one of Africa’s largest and fastest-growing internet companies.  She holds a BSc. Yellow Fever Card in Nigeria: How to Get it in 2019?

WHY THE NEW CARD?

The federal government has introduced E-Yellow card in order to stop touts from hawking and selling fake cards to passengers at international airports in the country. I personally have had my experience with touts at the Lagos international airport trying to sell fake yellow fever cards for N3k.

The new yellow fever card will cost N2000 and will need to be paid online via card payment.

STEP BY STEP

STEP 1:Visit http://www.yellowcardnigeria.com 

“STEP 2: click on Register

“STEP 3: Fill in your personal information and click on submit button.

“STEP 4: Click on Payment button, generate your Remita Retrival Receipt (RRR) code and pay the sum of N2,000 online (or go to the bank).

“STEP 5: Take the payment receipt along with your international passport to any Port Health Services Office to get vaccinated and obtain the yellow card.”

Happy February! Hope you all are having a fantastic year so far. I have decided on providing to you all some very useful resource, that is a list of all countries that NIGERIANS, yes we NIGERIANS are allowed to travel to “VISA FREE” or “VISA-ON-ARRIVAL”

VISA-FREE – means that u can enter the country without a visa for a specified period of time

VISA-ON-ARRIVAL – means that you need a visa to enter, but can apply for and receive the visa when you show up in the country at the border

NOTE that this list is subject to change as countries can decide to change entry requirements for Nigerian Nationals (I literally called up the consulates for most of the countries below as I am don’t quite trust a lot of the information floating on the internet). I strongly advise that you confirm the information below before making any travel plans as “Sassy Funke” is not responsible for any error that arise from the use of the information below
